I was so happy that I found this site and immediately put it into my favorites. I will be searching it again soon. Thanks for being here and putting this together and for making it easy. It answered all of my questions about being or not being American Indian at the beginning and was very self explanatory I thought.

They kept saying to send them to someone you love, And I would have liked to sent "While you weren't looking" to Brandi as a sweet reminder for the little one she is raising but I couldn't figure out how. Any way thanks for the words of inspiration. I found your web page by searching "Native American Indian love stories. Maureen

Comments:  I thought the content of the jobs posted were very thorough in describing what was expected of each employment candidate. It is too bad that there isn't much of a demand for Native American Indians through out the country. I am native American and I have a Bachelors degree in HRM and it is hard to find a job in that feild without the adequate experience. It would be nice if there were companys out there who are willing to help that inexperience graduate, who want to make something of themselve. Posting jobs for people like myself (inexperience) would be very helpfull and very uplifting.

Inez Company: Phoenix Housing Network State:  WA

                          in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington
Content: I think it is a FANTASTIC idea! We have 27 recognized tribes in Washington, not all of which have internet access, but it would be wonderful to have them included in your listing information. My husband and I also worked for the Indian Education Program for the Tacoma Public School District, but are leaving our posts there after several years service to our children's future there. We have a great need there and if our people could access these jobs through work study positions, our people will benefit greatly here in the urban settings where identity and assimilation are real issues. Your site has limitations now, but getting the word out and researching leads will help the growth.
Comments: Thank you! This is something our people really need in more ways than just one. Finding a job through your site is one thing, but your ideas provoke pride in who we are and helping our own advance in ways that mean our family's very survival today. I encourage all skins I know to forward your electronic smoke signals to others and let it grow the way it will. Hych-ka!

Comments: I just sat down about 10 minutes ago to search the web for job opportunities on indian reservations for non-indian americans. Although there is Indian in my heritage, it is not enough to be legally qualified, as I understand how it works. I was not very hopeful that there would be many jobs available for someone in my position, but your first couple of paragraphs on your home page encouraged me to add this site to my "favorites" list. I will now look into this site more to see what I can find. Thank you for the opportunity.

Content: This is a great site I have been looking for a job on or near an american indian reservation for months, without finding anything untill now. I am american indian- however it is unproven, we can not prove it. All I do know is I have been told by my relitives that we are. Also my mother told me that her father was a little over 1/2 and her grandfather was full blooded. I acke inside to know the truth, I might never know. So I would at least like to do what I can, working for our indian brothers and sisters.

Comments: A sad commentary on the job situation country-wide. Native people seem to be left out of the loop for whatever reason. When the treaties were signed and this government said don't worry we will take care of you, I don't think the welfare system was what was expected. Quality was left out. Thanks for the site, a beginning!!
